The Ohio River Bass Alliance is comprised of the following entities who care about the conservation and growth of bass fishing in the Ohio River – The Indiana Bass Federation, Dixie Marine®, Wieda’s Marine®, Proximo Spirits®, Safe Home Test Kits®, and many more. ORBA is proud to announce the launch of the Ohio River Bass Aid Team Bass Tournament. This annual event, starting in the summer of 2026, is focused on a critical goal: raising funds to stock largemouth bass in the Ohio River, of the Markland Pool. We are now working with various conservation authorities and seeking additional partners, to help bring this project to life.

Fundraising Goal: $50,000
Funds Raised as of 02/10/26: $26,000

Direct Impact: These funds will go toward purchasing bass fingerlings for release in the Ohio River, on the Markland Pool. We can stock approximately 30,000 fingerlings, with $50,000. While long-term ecological health also depends on factors like federal dredging and soil retention, we believe in taking action that we can directly control…stocking bass in the Ohio River. Past stocking efforts have historically led to improved catch rates and a healthier ecosystem; however, changing river conditions mean new stockings are essential to revitalizing the population today.
